Natural Remedies for Insect Bites & Stings
Apis
Apis is the top remedy for treating Insect Bites & Stings. Skin will be shiny red, swollen or puffy. Pain is stinging and burning.
Hypericum
Puncture wounds. Nerve-damage type pain. Very painful and sensitive to touch. Smarting.
Ledum
Swelling and inflammation, but not to the degree of Apis. A real sign of Ledum is that the area will be cool to touch, and cold or ice-cold application alleviates the pain. Skin is discoloured for a long time after the event, even if Apis or another remedy was originally used.
Urtica Urens
Ithing, blotchy. raised like hives. Feels hot. Made from Stinging Nettle so the sting/bite reacts similarly to nettle sting.
Vespa
Made from wasp so can be useful for Wasp Sting if Apis has not helped. Intensely stinging, burning pains.
And don’t forget Aconite for Shock!
